According to Robert Parker this was quite possibly the best Croix de Beaucaillou to date, its quality being a reflection of the increasingly stringent selection of the first wine Ducru Beaucaillou and thereby leading to improvements in the second wine's quality.
The 2009 vintage of Croix de Beaucaillou was the first to bear the new label designed by Jade Jagger, daughter of Mick. It only adorned the magnums in 2009 but was used for the standard bottle size from 2010 onwards.
