Description

A well matured classic Paulliac wine with deep violet/red hues, and a good initial nose. It is a medium bodied wine that has lost its fruit somewhat, but still has delicate tones of charred black fruit, mushroom and tobacco.

This wine was a big hitter from a very good vintage in the Bordeaux region and was described by Michael Broadbent as "incredibly sweet and fleshy. Good ripe fruit. Very attractive". He gave it one of his highest marks of Medoc '85s in blind tastings in 1994.

The estate that run this vineyard also own Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste.
