Château Bernadotte is a red wine made in the Haut-Médoc sub-region of Bordeaux from approximately equal proportions of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes with 4% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot added. It is vinified in the classic Bordeaux style and has sweet red fruit flavours, some food-friendly tannins and displays notes of licorice, roasted herbs, cedar, and black currants. This magnum is drinking well now and will keep well for another 10 years. Chateau Bernadotte was acquired by Chateau Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande in 1997 before both chateaux became the property of Louis Roederer the famous champagne house. Bernadotte is now owned by the King Power Group of Hong Kong.
