Elegant and seductive, the Confidences Brut from Chassenay d'Arce is a special Champagne for a special occasion. It is made from 100% Pinot Noir and a blend of different but very good vintages from select plots and is cellared for 6 years to produce a beautifully mature and complex wine. A light dosage of just 7g/l is given to enhance the vinosity of the cuvée and various measures are taken with great skill to bring out the great intensity of the terroir.
This is a luxury cuvée from a growers' co-operative that rivals more expensive cuvées from houses with bigger reputations. Golden in colour with glints of amber and very fine bubbles, the wine opens up to reveal honeyed aromas with hints of violet and hazelnut. On the palate it is beautifully refreshing with a lovely attack which gives way to tastes of peaches and apricots and a breathtakingly long and smooth finish. Outstanding balance and harmony. Please note that this bottle comes in its own box and will not fit in The Cardinal's Cellar gift box.
