Description

A nicely balanced wine, from a top Northern Rhône vintage. It has a good nose of red fruits, spices and a touch of liquorice. It is both tannic and full-bodied. The 2005 is a deeper ruby to other years as the grapes were very small, firm, and their skin very thick.

Les Grandes Terrasses owes its name to the extremely steep terraces supported by small walls overlooking the Rhône Valley. The Jaboulet family have shared their passion for wine in the Rhône for nearly two centuries although Maison Paul Jaboulet Aîné, was bought by the Frey family, owners of Château La Lagune in Bordeaux, in 2006.
