Domaine René Engel, Vosne-Romanée, 2004

A deceptive wine as although it appears pale red in colour, the nose tells that there is much more to this wine. It is well balanced, light on the palate with plenty of fruit, classic Vosne spice and hints of oak. This is a silky wine that caresses the mouth and is very moorish.

The 2004 Vosne Romanée was the last vintage made by Philippe Engel before his sad death at the age of 49, after which the domaine was sold.
